Striking the right balance of delegation is difficult, but important (Zhou)

Getting too involved and you’re micromanaging, stay too aloof and no one feels supported. You can be on different sides of the balance in different parts of the same project. You will probably need to continuously adjust based on feedback.

Note: Being too aloof means you can lose credibility because no one sees your impact on things. I think Pearson had this a fair bit.
